 D-Day 2004Holger StruthKomentare/Comments DeutschAm 6. Juni war der 60. Invasionstag - die Landung der Alliierten in der Normandie. In allen Sendern des Fernsehen wurde darüber berichtet. Nach 60 Jahren wurde auch ein deutscher Bundeskanzler eingeladen. Am meisten habe ich mich über die Aussage eines britischen Kriegsveteranen gefreut: "Würde ich jetzt einen Deutschen treffen, der damals auf mich schoss, ich würde ihn sofort zu einem Glas Bier einladen". Die gleiche Freundlichkeit habe ich persönlich bei einem leider nur kurzen Gespräch mit einem britischen Veteranen in Spanien erfahren. Ich wünsche und hoffe, dass alle in der Welt diese Freundschaft mit uns teilen können, egal welchen Glauben oder welcher Nationalität sie sind. Nie wieder Krieg oder Tyrannei!! Nur Freunde und Liebe, wo der Starke dem Schwachen hilft - wo wir Fehler vergeben. Es herrschen immer noch schreckliche, unvorstellbare Zustände in einigen Teilen der Erde. Ich kann das nicht einfach so ändern. Aber dies ist mein kleiner Beitrag dazu. After 60 years, also the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany was invited. Most happy I was over the statements of a British war veteran: "If I would meet a German, who shot at that time on me now! I would immediately invite him to a glass of beer". Personally I found that same kindness in an unfortunately only short conversation with a British veteran in Spain. I wish and hope that all in the world can share this friendship with us, equal which religion or nationality they are. Never again war or tyranny! Only friends and love, where The strong one helps the weak - where we forgive mistake. There are still terrible, unimaginable conditions in some parts of the earth. I not simply can change that.
